Blood in the Water Empty
PostSubject: Blood in the Water   Blood in the Water EmptyFri Aug 20, 2010 4:41 pm

Torasame sighed, his footsteps echoing down the long hallway towards the Mizukage's throne room. What he was about to do, what he hadn't even finished debating doing, was unthinkable. Given what the Hoshigaki's had gone through recently attempting to explain why a member of their clan had turned up dead would not be an easy task. In his mind, the voice's of the village rang out, pleading for it all to end. It was the addition of this much larger family that kept Tora's heart beating, that and that alone now. Then there was Shirosame, his older brother, standing at the top of the stairs up to the Mizukage chair, as if nothing was wrong. Nothing was ever wrong in the mind of the deranged though, everything was always right, never, ever wrong. As Torasame reached the bottom of the stairs, he kneeled, bowing his head. It was true, he looked up to Shirosame. The eldest Hoshigaki brother had so much untapped power, regardless of whether or not it was trapped in a cage that was the mind of a mad man. Raising slowly, Torasame's thoughts began to race. How would he tell him? A bead of sweat began scaling it's way down his right cheek, against what was normally cool skin. Today however, it was quite warm. "Shirosame?" He took his first step up the stairs, his brother seemed lost in thought, trapped in his own mental maze. it was never truly possible to tell however. It was in these moments that Torasame's mind's eye was led back to his battojutsu training. A straight cut, draw from the sheath to a straight cut. Always calm, always collected, that is the truth behind power, behind speed. Always a straight cut. It almost seemed like his sensei was speaking of ripping off a band-aid at the time, perhaps he was. Perhaps all the while, that was the entire analogy. Who knew it would aid Torasame so much later in life. Well, no one did in earnest. There was absolutely no way to prove that his Sensei had any ideas for what the future held, or for that matter, how to properly prep one for the future. Never the less would his sensei have been able to do it in minor colloquialisms that held subconscious stations for a train of thought to begin. Or did he? Torasame's right foot had found the second step at this point, his mind truly was running a race against itself. And what of Togisame, her poor poor soul, would her soul ever find remorse? There were too many questions. Action and theory melded together. It was sugar and water at this point. Stepping forward again Torasame's eyes were still glued to the floor. There was no way he could... There must be some way to tell him. Perhaps afterwards? Torasame stopped on the thought for a moment, his body stopping with him. It then passed, no, it had to be now. "Shiro, the villager's... are revolting.." He paused, taking a two more steps, now on number five. Stopping there, Tora refused to get closer, slightly fearful of his older brother. His breath coming heavily to him, it would not take great deduction from Shirosame that the man's younger brother was clearly upset, perhaps flustered or frustrated. Taking time to make out what he would say next Torasame wiped his palms together slowly, the sweat practically beading away from them. In no true rush to tell him the news. Regardless, Torasame had chosen patience as a virtue to act upon lately, Shiro should have probably done the same in his younger days. Patience, loyalty, strength, not all of these were virtues the Hoshigaki were fond of. It was indeed time to replace the Hoshigaki's of the past though. Their warriorship earned them nothing but death. Honorable deaths? Every last one of them. But were they alive? No, they never were to begin with. In one motion, rip tide was out, and a slice that would pass through Shirosame's neck was thrown before the blade returned to it's scabbard. Without a blink, Torasame's thought process continued. Togisame was surely to forgive sins. It was the nature of women. It still, was not the nature of the Hoshigaki clan however. This was what Torasame had come to discuss. Shirosame needed to change his ways. But could he? Did the beast of a man, the predator of a man have it in him. Of course he did. It was now that Torasame's mind was reeling in on itself, lost in it's own maze. Was he destined to become exactly like his older brother, the Great White. He was already known as the Tiger of the sea. The title was soaked in blood. There was no way in Torasame's mind that it could get any worse. He had to make a stand, for all Hoshigaki.

"There is nothing we can do to stop it, Shirosame. They move as one, as the tide. They are powerful as the ocean we grew up in. They ask for blood. I don't know what to do..."

Blood in the Water Empty
PostSubject: Re: Blood in the Water   Blood in the Water EmptyWed Aug 25, 2010 9:38 pm

((As the Mizukage has been inactive, since the character's existence, and Shirosame's player had been notified of this thread on several occassions, I've been permitted to end this thread. Permission was given by Talis, and is thus inarguably set.))

Standing behind Shirosame, where his sword slash had carried him, Torasame watched from the corner of his eye as his older brother collapsed to the ground, blood pouring down the Mizukage steps. The slice to the throat was deep and unpredictable, it was underhanded, but completely necessary. Turning slowly, Torasame continued to speak. "This is the only way Shirosame, I am truly sorry." Bending at the knees, Torasame's eyes shifted over his brother's body. He could feel the life force within his sibling slowly stop, his heart coming to a final rest. Reaching down, Torasame picked up Shirosame's legendary sword "fluffy". The blade itself was just over seventy inches, at just shy of six feet, it required the strength that only a Hoshigaki could possess to wield. Standing with the massive blade, he strung it over his shoulders, turning his head to the chamber maids.

"Take his body to hi...MY chambers, I have plans for it. Also, summon the swordsmen for me, it is time we had a discussion."

Blood in the Water Empty
PostSubject: Re: Blood in the Water   Blood in the Water EmptyWed Aug 25, 2010 10:41 pm

As the sun shone in through Kaito’s window in his apartment, It blinded him in bed, slightly, but strong enough for it to make him shield his eyes with his semi-long eyelashes. It was raining outside, and it had created a rainbow in the sky to the north east, towards the current Mizukage’s office. Kaito got out of bed, and while he cleaned up silently from the night before, he started thinking to himself. He thought about the way the mist village was, the way it was before, and the way it is now. Before, along time ago; Kaito thought while equipping all of his ninja gear, ready to set out, it was peaceful, everyone liked each other and it was not miserable, where as now in this time of era, you could go an entire day without seeing a smile on someone’s sour face. It sort of annoyed Kaito, and he thought that ever since the current Mizukage came to power, it was like that, before it was perfect, now it was worse then the rain village, back in the time of “The Legend Pein”.

The current Mizukage, slightly annoyed everyone, she was irritable, and it felt like she didn’t give two shits about anything, outside or inside the village. She was very tunnel minded, and only thought about herself. This had to change, someday sometime, perhaps even today. But before Kaito could even begin to think of different ways to threaten or even end the current Kage’s rein of terror, he still had today to think about, and prepare for what kind of things he might accomplish. So, finishing his gruesome thoughts he had only one last piece of equipment to add on to his attire. The Sword of Five Natures, his father’s sword previously, but given down to him when he died. In equipping this, he headed out of his apartment, turning off the lights, and locking the door.

He nodded his head to whoever he passed on the way down. The citizens gladly moved out of the way of the dangerous ninja, for Kaito was not just any normal Kiri-Jounin, he was a member of the “Seven Swordsmen of The Mist” ninja. They where a group of feared and strong ninja, who didn’t in fact hurt anyone of their own village, but where a very hostile group to anyone outside of the ninjas. They where the Mizukage’s right handed men, sent out on dangerous missions, assassinations, and other tedious tasks that lay under the hand of normal mist ninja.

He finally exited the giant apartment building, and walked over to his favorite place to eat, it wasn’t anything special, or extravagant, but it did the job. This man sold deep fried Takoyaki, which was basically cooked octopus in steamy hot oil. With a little bit of salt and some brown sugar, made Kaito’s breakfast. As he finished up, he left some money (unaware of the currency xD) to pay for the short meal, and some to tip the old man who worked the 5 seated restaurant.

Kaito planned to continue his day like normal, making some appearances at the academy, maybe going for a mission at the ninja advances academy, or just helping around town, however, nothing ever works out how it usually is, so while Kaito was walking through the town, there was suddenly a giant decrease in power, just in the air in general. He thought that this was unusual and started to walk faster, towards the main joint where he got all of his new from, when he saw a particular strange figure that he had only seen once or twice. The Maid.

This maid, wasn’t an ordinary helper, butler, or servant, this made had one particular purpose, and that purpose had only happened maybe once a year, twice if there was trouble. This maid was the Seven Swordsmen Reunion maid, summoned only to gather up the seven mist swordsmen for a reunion of sorts. They would talk about special things, like who did this major event, who was attacking what village, who needed our help for certain wars, and last but not least, who the new Kage was to step up to the throne.

Kaito redirected his target towards the Maid, and then when he was just about side by side, she used a jutsu called group shunshin, and reverse summon to bring them to the destined meeting location, where they would talk of these topics of matter. However this time they didn’t go to any ordinary meeting place, and there wasn’t the normal people in this place. It was all a mystery, a mystery soon to be unravled…

The place looked familiar, Kaito had to defend the old Mizukage here, with the other Seven Ninja, but this time, there was someone else in the seat, and one special person dead on the floor. It was the new Mizukage. Hoshigake, Torasame, one of the seven swordsmen, who had undoubtedly summoned and called for the deadly and feared group of swordsmen. Kaito was confused, but he figured out one thing on his own, and that was that there was a new Kage, things would be better, more happier, less of a struggle, and that Hoshigake Torame was the new leader of the mist village.

”My, oh my. What have you done now, Hoshigake?” Kaito had asked, in a rather mumble, but clear enough voice.

Blood in the Water Empty
PostSubject: Re: Blood in the Water   Blood in the Water EmptyThu Aug 26, 2010 1:29 am

Koden was on some of the highest buildings of kirigakure, his mature Byakugan activated he peered down into the core of all the shinobi within the village. The wind blew through his rough sandy blonde hair. As he stood straight up on the skyscraper like building. No one could see him, but he could see everyone else. Looking over towards the Mizukages building he noticed an enormous chakra pool. Although he has seen large chakra pools never has he seen one this large. Thats when he quickly noticed there was two people within that area of the building. One he knew was the Mizukage's chakra pool. And the other unknown but still thrived with intense chakra. Another Hoshigake maybe, but Koden Knew he had to check this out. With that in mind he quickly flipped in a backwards motion landing cleanly upon another building ceiling. Than jumping off the side of that building onto the side rails. Positioning his feet correctly he landed upon the railing, and sliding down all the way to the rubble of Kirigakure. Landing straight up and re positioning him self so that he was in the direction of the Mizukages building. Any by passers noticing Kodens movements would be astonished by his pure speed and accuracy. For Koden was very strong within all of his muscles which of course include the leg muscles. He made it to the Mizukages building in mere seconds until finally he reached the area where he previously noticed the large chakra pools. But now the amount of chakra has decreased, but not all completely gone. It was as if the other person within the building was being drained of all his chakra. As if it was fading away to never return. Koden entered the are where he noticed another man along with the former Mizukage which was bleeding all over the nice floors. And the supposedly new Mizukage which was sitting upon the Kage throne. Koden did not want to be seen as much of a threat so he dropped his byakugan, looking towards the bleeding hoshigake. He payed no attention to the other man standing beside him, for he was more worried about what had just happened. He stood at a stand still for a second, Koden was wearing his original burnt yellow, sleeveless vest but his robe covered it up decently. A sash like mask covered his mouth and nose. Leaving his eyes out for everyone too see. They were regular hyuuga eyes, but were awkwardly tinted into a dark shade of blue. Koden usually wore this outfit so anyone who knew what he looked like would of course know him. Koden's voice was a bit deep and raspy but he continued with his apperance as he began to speak to who he knew from the seven legendary swordsmen group, the man sitting in the Mizukages seat was a man name Torasame Hoshigake. "Torasame, tsk tsk, theres to much blood" Koden said as he continued speaking while looking deep into his eyes. "With a lack of leadership in the group, who shall lead? I beleive i am suitable for the position, if I may?" Koden said as his eyes gave off a devious look, patting his robe, where a scroll was located. Within the scroll was a large sword that Koden used the most, and what had gotten Koden the most victories. Torasame couldn't have known much about Koden. But he should've known about his sword location, and his bloodline. " So what do you say, Mizukage" Koden said with a slight bow before the reigning Hoshigake, awaiting a response, and possibly any action from the other man standing beside him.

Blood in the Water Empty
PostSubject: Re: Blood in the Water   Blood in the Water EmptyThu Aug 26, 2010 5:09 pm

((Ok children, stop bickering.))

Torasame had had just enough time to take a seat on the throne, his new weapon leaning up against it's side when the seven swordsmen, which in actuality only comprised of two members now, arrived. The new Mizukage's eyes shifted from Kaito, then back to Koden, watching their expressions as they took in the scene that lay before them.

”My, oh my. What have you done now, Hoshigake?”

Torasame sighed, his eyelids closing slowly as he then took in a deep breath. His elbow resting on the arm of his chair, he cradled his forehead in his fingertips.

"Nothing I am exquisitely proud of Kaito. It is not everyday a Hoshigaki member turns against it's clan. I did what was necessary however, and nothing more."

Torasame paused again, allowing Kaito his chance to speak. At the mention of blood, the scent of it became present in Tora's mind. As a shark, it brought forth a hunger like any other. The thought of the blood being that of his own kind sickened him though and the feeling passed.

"With a lack of leadership in the group, who shall lead? I beleive i am suitable for the position, if I may?"

Group? Ah, the seven swords. Hybris had gone missing just as Akumu had. It seemed the Kaguya bloodline was destined to disappear, even despite it's recent blossoming. Torasame hadn't thought of this however, it dawning on him just now that he could no longer feasibly participate as a Swordsman. The way Koden managed to phrase the question was aggravating though. Perhaps not the way he chose to phrase it, but his timing couldn't have been worse.

"So what do you say, Mizukage"

Torasame's eyes snapped open, zeroing in on the man before him. They seemed to attempt to burn through Koden. They could feel his pulse, see the blood running through his sytem. The barely noticeable moment of rage passed. Torasame was known for being one of the better controlled Hoshigaki's, unlike the fallen Mizukage.

"I say that your greed for power could not have been imposed at any worse a time. I will deal with arranging the Seven Swordsmen when the time comes. For now, there are more important things at hand."

Torasame's gaze traveled away from Koden, down to the body of Shirosame, who was now being carried away as asked. Pausing to think for a moment, the Hoshigaki continued.

"History is about to be rewritten. Never in history has a Hoshigaki struck down one of his own blood. Never in history has a Swordsmen struck down a Mizukage. However, never in history has our village been in such dismay. It is time we put things in perspective, my friends. I, as the Mizukage, will no longer be your top priority. As things should be, this entire village will be your top priority, just as I intend to make it mine. However, first, we must recover."

How to do that was the real question.

"Koden, I would like you to assemble a team of genin and prep to leave Kirigakure. You'll be doing a bit of travelling for the benefit of the Mist. Return to me when you are prepared to go. Kaito, you are to stay in the village and watch over it as always. Let the villager's know that Shirosame no longer holds an iron fist over them."

Standing, Torasame stepped over his older brother's body as servants bustled to remove it from the Mizukage hall, as Torasame had asked. Walking down the steps, his feet splashed in the blood. Growing nearer to the two swordsmen, Torasame rested a hand on each of their shoulders.

"We, were once brothers of the sword. That brotherhood still stands. As my dearest friends, I will be needing your aid above all else. It is time to renew Kirigakure to it's once proud and former self. And it is us that will be doing it."

Blood in the Water Empty
PostSubject: Re: Blood in the Water   Blood in the Water EmptyFri Sep 03, 2010 4:52 am

{{My wish was not to start a quarrel. I'm saying that it looks messy in one big paragraph...}}

Kaito, Standing there motionless, waiting for an answer from the new crowned Mizukage, and the newly retired Mist Swordsman. While he was awaiting, the next member of the mist swordsmen group showed up, lack of tardiness, he was as he always was. Same clothes, nothing new, except an eerie feeling in the air that stirred when they all gathered.

Torasame replied to the question stated a few moments ago, and Kaito listened to see what his newly formed Leader would have to say about his death, and daring act, that he had conceived of today. The Mizukage sighed, took a deep breath, exhaled, and then folded his head into his fingertips, as he was either tired, or thinking up something massive. Most likely the latter.

"Nothing I am exquisitely proud of Kaito. It is not everyday a Hoshigaki member turns against it's clan. I did what was necessary however, and nothing more." He finally renounced.

Kaito heard about this, it didn't sound like it was a bad idea, their fomer leader was not at all what he had owned up to be, however, it is true that he had killed one of the former members of the Hoshigake clan, but to make it even worse, one of his own family members.

Kaito's eyes wandered to the dead body on the floor, he let out a small sigh, and then his eyes had moved to the corner, where the other mist ninja had resided. It didn't shock Kaito all that much, he knew without a doubt, that with a loss for a Mizukage, Torasame would take the position, to lead the village, but that left their current group leaderless, and even the normal civilian knew it wouldn't be pretty if they had fallen apart.

[color=brown]"With a lack of leadership in the group, who shall lead? I believe I am suitable for the position, if I may?"[/brown] The quiet mist swordsman, named Koden, finally spoke.

Kaito didn't feel jealousy, or any bad intentions, such as anger towards this proclamation, for if there was someone to lead the group, Kaito could direct all of his free time to training, instead of organizing some sort of group issue, or meeting. Kaito wasn't the one to take the lead, but if noone owned up, or volunteered, you'd find Kaito doing what ever he could to make it work.

"So what do you say, Mizukage?" Koden spoke, asking with a mysterious and aggravating tone of voice, which was not the choice that Kaito would have taken if he where in the opposing side's shoes.

Kaito watched the man in the chair, Torasame, Hoshigake, flinch towards the man as he if had spoke something sacred and holy that he shouldn't have. Perhaps it was to soon to speak the words that he had just spoken, whatever it was, the current leader did not like it at all. It only took a second, but it was their, and Kaito had felt it, the blood craving feeling that only happened when a Hoshigake was mad or severely pissed off.

"You couldn't have picked a better time, eh? Koden? Kaito thought while invisibly increasing his guard so that he could dodge incase some extra blood was spilled.

The Mizukage finally spoke word of what he thought of this request, as it was a fairly long moment which seemed to last forever, but Kaito could only sigh.

"I say that your greed for power could not have been imposed at any worse a time. I will deal with arranging the Seven Swordsmen when the time comes. For now, there are more important things at hand." The Leader, and still owner of the mist swordsmen pronounced in a rather aggressive voice.

While this was going on, both the maids; the ones who only obey the orders of the Mizukage, where carrying the body of the now deceased and former leader of kirigakure off the tiled floor, which was now maroon stained, with his own blood. Torasame continued to speak.

This moved Kaito, for what he thought was going to come out of Tora's mouth was something that should not have been said, or seen, however it was something that would turn the mist village for better. Kaito began to become more happy as the new leader was working out fine, the way it looked, Kaito would be scotch free, able to train or laze about how he wished on his own time.

The former member now leader stepped down, off his rather extravagent throne and walked over his dead brother, creating ripples in the pools of blood as his feet sloshed through them, until he had began to grow nearer to the two mist ninja, who had stood before him.

"Koden, I would like you to assemble a team of genin and prep to leave Kirigakure. You'll be doing a bit of travelling for the benefit of the Mist. Return to me when you are prepared to go. Kaito, you are to stay in the village and watch over it as always. Let the villager's know that Shirosame no longer holds an iron fist over them." He spoke, as he now sounded more like a leader, not a follower, which again made Kaito happy that they had taken a turn for the better.

Kaito thought that he would have actually gotten some kind of work, but nope, same as always, he could continue training, and laze about the village, he just had to protect them all, which might be a hassle, considering there was no attacks or anything.

Torasame had put a hand on each of their shoulders, and then said in a profound and proud voice, which had echoed into the large office, something that would keep Kaito motivated for these long and upcomming days.

"We, were once brothers of the sword. That brotherhood still stands. As my dearest friends, I will be needing your aid above all else. It is time to renew Kirigakure to it's once proud and former self. And it is us that will be doing it." Proclaimed the new king.

All Kaito could do was sigh, it made it seem like alot of weight was put onto his shoulders, but it was nothing that wouldn't go away after some time.

"Sigh, Yes Sir- no wait, Yes Mizukage-sama" Kaito said, also proud, as he was a true patriot of the Kirigakure village, who has carried an undying spirit that hadn't gone out in times of haste, so it will not go out now.

Kaito used shinshun no jutsu to disappear in an instant from the office, starting on his quest to protect the village from harm, and train all at once. All Kaito could do now was laugh, as the sky had cleared up and a rainbow had formed in the outer atmosphere. Kaito was about to be pretty busy, so he had taken all this time for himself.

{{See you wouldn't like this in a giant Paragraph now would you? Razz}}
