To take on dragons Empty
PostSubject: To take on dragons   To take on dragons EmptyThu Sep 23, 2010 10:18 pm

Eki's hooded form stood upon a tree branch, masked in shadows from the leafy canopy above. His eyes gazed steadily upon his target, a small portion of it being visible through the trees before him. The Hokage's office. Sunagakure had placed a large bounty on any leaf ninja that was brought in, Eki had set out to take the largest one possible.

From her small basket at his side, Shinju, the albino king cobra, climbed her way around Eki's torso, her head coming to rest on his shoulder. The assassin shifted his head to look into the snake's eyes momentarily, then nodded. It was as if the snake had asked him something, but nothing was vocalized. Eki and Shinju had an inexorable link between them, and seemed to be able to communicate with eye contact alone. Turning his head back towards the city, Eki crouched for a moment, his hands finding the wood between his feet. He sighed, very slowly. Another day, another target.

To take on dragons Empty
PostSubject: Re: To take on dragons   To take on dragons EmptyThu Sep 23, 2010 10:32 pm

Kori walked out of his village and stopped when he reached a flower patch. As he stepped onto the flowers his body slowly started to meld into one of them. Once he had finished he traveled through the plants sensing life as he sped through the plants. Suddenly he noticed something. It was a man with what looked like a long creature on his shoulder. He traveled into the tree and move up the trunk until he found a hole just next to the man. In the hole, a circular, yellow object appeared. This was Kori's eye. He looked at the man examining him closely taking in all the features with his photographic memory. The man was tall and hooded but his face wasn't all that visible. On his shoulder was a snake. From Kori's observation he concluded that the man and the snake were very close because the man seemed to stare at the snake with deep understanding as if just looking at its eyes he could tell what it was thinking. Kori didn't attempt to attack the man because he didn't know his intentions or his reason of being near the leaf. So he decided to wait to see what the man would do next.

To take on dragons Empty
PostSubject: Re: To take on dragons   To take on dragons EmptyThu Sep 23, 2010 10:52 pm

It was a moment before Eki's ears picked up the sound. Having fought countless times in total darkness (to his advantage of course) he had trained his ears well. It was blinking perhaps, or the batting of eyelashes. Pretending to pay no heed to it, he casually stood again on the tree limb, reaching into a pocket. Moments later, out came a kunai, it was pulled slowly of course, as if nothing was wrong.

Holding by thumb and index finger, he twisted it slowly, letting the tip catch on the finger of his other hand. Back and forth it went. It was then that Eki looked above him. What looked to be a series of movements designed for helping a cluttered mind, was really Eki studying the canopy, looking for that perfect gap in the leaves...There! Waiting for the blinking a few more times, Eki narrowed down it's location, giving an accurate estimate of where the nearly inaudible sound was coming from. With his target now in sight, he rotated the kunai one more time.

The sun caught the blade's reflective nature, sending a blinding beam of light towards the eyeball. Eki then lightly tossed the blade upwards, letting it hold it's position of reflection while he moved. Grabbing the branch below his feet, he quickly swung down and out of sight. How whatever it was found him int eh first place was astounding, and Eki was under the impression it could possibly happen again. Landing in the denser brush of the forest floor, he formed a hand seal, and the shadows cast from the surrounding trees seemed to envelop him, just as a few fawns moved to obscure any direct line of sight. Eki was now virtually invisible, but he didn't like it much, he still had no idea where his opponent was. Aggravated with himself for not getting good bearings, Eki decided to go for it.

"Show yourself!"

To take on dragons Empty
PostSubject: Re: To take on dragons   To take on dragons EmptyThu Sep 23, 2010 11:08 pm

As he watched the man pull his kunai he got ready to get away at any moment possible. When the man raised his kunai Kori lost what little eyesight he already had in a flash of white light. though he didn't know it the man had jumped down and hit the floor. Once Kori's sight had recovered he traveled though the plants to a flower nearby. His eye appeared in the middle of the flower and scanned the area for the man. He noticed some shadows were distorted and knew that was where the man was. Once he caught site of him he sent roots though the ground. suddenly these roots burst through the ground spiraling around the man. The spiral motion making them even harder to predict, the roots flew at the man. One went for his hand, another to his other hand. Two others went towards his feet and another to his neck. If these hit he would be dragged to the floor and become immobilized. While this was happening Kori seemed to appear out of thin air when really he was appearing out of the flower. Out of Kori's arms grew even more roots. The roots shot out seeming to rise over the mans head like an arch. Each of these were aiming at a different location; one for his neck, two for his forearms and 3 for his waist. This would definitely be hard to dodge

As Eki waited patiently, he was ambushed. Kunai still in hand, he slashed at the roots, but was unfortunately beaten by the element of surprise. They latched onto him, holding his wrist from any further slashings and continuing to tie him down, some even by the neck. Eki, now immobile, raised his eyes to his target.

"So, a plant boy, hm."

Appearing calm, Eki then gave a violent tug on the roots, thrashing forward, but to no avail. He was in this nin's home turf, as it seemed, and he would have the advantage.

"I suppose you're quite proud of yourself, capturing a member of the Goryu." For some reason, Eki was definitely talkative. He was in truth, trying to figure a way out, and simply wanted to keep the odd looking being in front of him distracted. It was then that he noticed some of the roots had came from the boy himself, and were certainly still attached.

"You do realize, that, as an assassin, I can kill most humans with a simple touch, a poke if you will." Eki thrashed again, hunting for weak spots. "You on the other hand, don't seem quite human. Do you?"

Kori watched in pleasure as his roots caught the man especially when the one around his neck hit. He then listen to man ramble on about him being a plant and watched him try to break free of the strong roots.
"Yes I am not human and I'm sorry about this but your trespassing on konoha land right after a war you must be killed" Said Kori's black half. The roots began to tighten rapidly and if it continued for a few more seconds the mans neck and other body parts would be crushed under the pressure. "Goodbye......" said the white half

To take on dragons Empty
PostSubject: Re: To take on dragons   To take on dragons EmptyThu Sep 23, 2010 11:41 pm

Eki stayed calm, he had an ace in the hole with this one. His attacker had made two fatal mistakes, he was technically connected to Eki, and had forgot about one very important aspect of Eki's appearance.

Smiling, Eki then turned and bit down on one of the roots around his neck, hard. This root in particular happened to be made of Kori's hand, and while it may not cause him pain, it was just to make sure Kori couldn't get away. From what?

During Eki's leap from the treetops, Shinju had chosen to take shelter beneath Eki's robes. As he then thrashed about to distract his opponent, the cobra had exited a pant leg, and crept off into the bush. While Eki did understand that the plant man seemed to be able to sense him, SHinju was just another animal, with a minimal chakra trail, and could easily be mistaken for something as simple as a squirrel. Having crept around through the trees, SHinju was lying in wait, waiting for the opportune moment.

That moment was just as Kori said his distracted goodbyes, and just as Eki had bit down to keep the man from leaping away. Shinju struck from her hiding place. Her goal was to wrap each limb, starting with the leg so very near to her, constricting Kori in a fashion very similar to how Eki was bound. There was one subtle difference, if Shinju could finish her binding, she would stop with her fangs resting on the nin's scalp. The message would be clear. If Eki died, so did he, and in a much more painful manner.

While his teeth may have been ground down into the soft bark of the root, Eki still seemed to smile.

Kori felt nothing as the man bit the root around his neck. He suddenly felt something nearby and just barley had a root burst out of the ground very close to his legs just in time for the snake to wrap around. After it wrapped around the root pushed at the snake attempting to push it away. The roots around the man increased in pressure more and more and within a second the man would be killed by the pressure. The man may be killed but Kori had a bigger danger from his carelessness.

Quote :
Before someone calls metagaming, if Eki's profile is examined, the section that says senbon does dictate that he is not only a masterful shot with them, but that he often keeps them hidden within folds of his clothes. Thus this does not require a prep step.

Shinju's lunge was all Eki needed. As the root sprang up to try and rid the plant of the snake, Eki's hands flicked outwards, senbon seeming to float out of his sleeves. From each sleeve came nearly thirty, they had been hidden carefully, as all assassins placed their most precious tools. An expert marksman with the weapons, Eki had an even bigger advantage having charged them with chakra, he then flicked his wrists back inwards, his finger tips catching the senbon in such a way that they flew. The action in it's entirely took far less then a second, and it had commenced just as Shinju lunged and distracted his opponent. Having been guided through the air quite perfectly by not only Eki's aim but the chakra imbued in them, the senbon sliced the roots to shreds. As Kori's attention would turn back to Eki from teh root he generated, Shinju slithered off into the brush again remaining hidden, as Eki spat out the last remaining root piece that was still suspended, by his teeth that was.

"I am Eki Gisou, assassin of the Goryu, prepare to die."

Eki then blinked, his eyes appearing snake like and malicious. He then slowly lowered himself into a fighting stance recognized in snake style, and begun to sway. He was no longer akin to having fun with this gentleman, he was now going to kill him.

Kori just barley felt the roots become ripped off and the snake stop applying pressure. Though he felt no pain he still was a bit surprised. He looked int o the mans eyes noticing they had become snake like this didn't surprise him though considering how the man had a pet snake. Kori jump onto a tree next to him and jumped through the trees as fast as he could trying to get to konoha. He could see it was only a few miles away so he merged with the large tree. The tree was very large so it only took a few seconds to merge with it. He then began to travel through plants toward konoha.

Watching the man leap off into the distance, Eki relaxed his pose. Bending down, he then placed his palm on the ground, Shinju slithering up it and back into his robes. As he stood again, he swept a small piece of sliced root up into his hand, tucking it into a pocket, it may come in handy later. Shinju's head then appeared near Eki's, moving outwards so that it could then turn and look him in the eye.

"See Shinju, plants have no courage. No balls after all." The assassin snickered, then too, began slowly making his way towards Konoha, this time with a careful eye on his surroundings to prevent a secondary ambush.
