Moving on the offensive Empty
PostSubject: Moving on the offensive   Moving on the offensive EmptyFri Aug 06, 2010 3:08 am

Ryu walked through the gates and into the sand village. Ahead of him somebody had come in causing a large commotion. Somewhere along the lines members of the leaf and stone village had broken out into a war. It was rare that both sides were attacking each other at the same time. Still when Iwa got the message to help out a short time ally they went on the offensive for the most part. A large chunk of shinobi moving towards the village to start their assault. It was the same thought that made people attack the be hive and not the individual bee. Before arriving, Ryu had sent message to Daedalus to come with him. It was better if they acted in groups instead of the individual person. You would never know what you could come into during the time at a hostile village. It would always end better if people knew that they had someone fighting with them on their end. As Ryu stepped through the different parts of the gate he was confronted by a group of shinobi on top of a tower. Having been "late" to what was going on they already deduced what he was there for and went on the offensive. Throwing several weapons at his feet cutting off the route at which he was walking. At this point there were two options really, to attempt to climb up there and deal with them himself or too not give a damn about collateral damage and just bring the whole thing down. The choice was obvious, one had alot more risk. Not only that but the other Ryu would be able to cause some damage tot he village the other way. As Ryu reached behind him and took out two kunai's with bomvs attactchd his body became the same density as steel. Allowing the two kunai that hit him to bounce off and fall to the ground. Ryu with the accuracy of a top sniper threw the kunai at the base of the structure. Both of them exploded as the defensive structure buckled and cracked under it's own weight. Slowly it bgan to fall apart as the only things holding it up shattered from their heavy damage. The structure and the three shinobi both plummeted to the ground. It had hit some surrounding buildings on the way down, causing damage to the area an kicking up sand in the distance away from Ryu. When it all settled what was shown was the entire thing, brought down and blocking a path. Of the three shinobi that were attacking him earlier Ryu could only see one full body and another limb sticking out from the rubble. It was unknown if this was a second person and the rest was just buried under the rubble or the rest had escaped. That didn't matter though, the quicker things were dealt with the better most of them were. Stopping his already deliberately slow progress into the village Ryu waited for Daedalus to catch up.

PostSubject: Re: Moving on the offensive   Moving on the offensive EmptyFri Aug 06, 2010 3:27 am

((OOC: DaeDALUS))

Having received Ryusaki's message, Daedalus had little to no choice but to respond. That's not to say he didn't want to either mind you, he considered himself to be friends with what iwa had appointed as his keeper. Having been in the Stone village at the time, Daedalus deducted that the quickest way there would be flight, and thus summoned his Puppet of the Sea and Sky to get him there.

Mounting the draconian creature, Daedalus cast out his chakra strings and soon took to the air. With nothing to hinder his travel, it was not long before the smoldering battle scene came into view. Leaf vs. Sand, a once powerful treaty between two nations had seemed to dissolve over night. Shaking his head, Daedalus tapped his index finger against his temple. One cloud of smoke later and his right eye hand been replaced with a scope like device, allowing the puppet master an in depth look at the scene so far below. Muttering to himself, he scanned the village slowly, keeping an eye out for the main man in charge.

"Burning body, burning body... Ooooo, impaled. AH! Ryu!"

Finding his target, Daedalus activated his small radio comm, it's brother being in Ryu's ear. As the battle raged on below, little took notice of the thin dragon flying above, but it was crucial that Ryu know he had support.

"Daedalus here! I've got a dragon's eye view on you. I'll be providing long range support unless you should need me further, puppet out!"

Closing the comm link for now, Daedalus removed his cloak, letting the wind take it to reveal his bare torso. Tapping a few more spots on his body, multiple other augmentations were made, although they would be invisible as of yet to the unknowing eye. Circling slowly, Daedalus waited for the real show to start.

PostSubject: Re: Moving on the offensive   Moving on the offensive EmptyFri Aug 06, 2010 8:35 pm

One man stood out from the rest as he usually did when he walked into the fray of war. Shinichi Oboro, Jounin of the Sand stood amongst the battle after laying waste to the few powerful Konoha ninja with just a stroke of his hand. But there was a newcomer. Reinforcements perhaps, but nevertheless an enemy of the Sand. "More Konoha Shinobi coming for the slaughter I see. So be it. Ozai the Manslayer is here to do Suna's bidding and have you killed." Shinichi walked in a normal manner towards Ryusaki. A grey like mist creeping ever so softly out his gourd. And the sand around the Konoha ninja was started to move as if on a will of its own.

PostSubject: Re: Moving on the offensive   Moving on the offensive EmptyFri Aug 06, 2010 9:46 pm

It seems that if you spend long in a fight or just come late. More than likely you will come into the stronger groups. Almost as if they purposely wait until things get serious for them to come out in full force. It wasn't unexpected that Ryu would come into another shinobi while he was walking. After all he had just caused an entire structure to come down. If that was missed as a distraction there wasn't much that could be said about that. Ryu stopped when the person started talking to him. He was seemingly mistaken for a konoha shinobi. Made sense if you thought about it, since more or less Konoha had arrived and started fighting here first. Ryu's skin slowly started to harden as the man got closer and closer to him. He was half expecting some kind of quick attack, something he hoped he could quickly brush off if something happened. Instead the man stopped and a gray mist began falling out of a gourd on his back. The mist initially caught his attention, Ryu trying to figure out what it could be. Unless for some reason he had a form of black sand it had to be something else, and probably much more deadly. When the sand around Ryu began to move it became a slight cause for worry. The cause was obviously the shinobi but how he was doing it was unknown. Instead of waiting to be attacked Ryu went on a quick offensive. Performing a few handseals the sand around Ryu quickly turned into mud and raised from the ground. Creating a dragon head made of mud that shot three large boulders of concentrated mud at the shinobi. Adding to the painfully obvious combo Ryu launched a fire ball jutsu at the mud to turn it into a flaming projectiles that would explode on impact and spread flaming pieces of earth all around the place. All the while Ryu's skin had become hard as iron becoming slightly darker expecting a counter attack, but with what he was shown earlier there was no telling what could be heading his way.

Moving on the offensive Empty
PostSubject: Re: Moving on the offensive   Moving on the offensive EmptyFri Aug 06, 2010 10:01 pm

Daedalus' scope remained trained on Ryu, occasionally sweeping left and right, up and down. When his fellow nin finally stopped moving, Daedalus minimized his zoom, widening his field. It was then that the second shinobi came into play. Focusing in on him, Daedalus took note of the gourd and the eerie mist pouring ever so slowly from it. Taking time to memorize a few of the shinobi's features, sudden motion on the edge of the scope caught his eye, Ryu was starting his attack.

With his chakra spinner tugging away on the strings the large dragon began to swiftly come around to the side of the two facing nin. As Daedalus was still high in the air, he forced the dragon to turn, Daedalus' legs disappearing only to be replaced by four heavy spider-like appendages. This allowed the puppet king to look down upon the battle, and gave him a better angle for attack. As the scope saw the dragon rise, Daedalus recognized the technique instantly, and his mind began working out the angles of attack, and more specifically, the angles of escape. As the areas highlighted themselves in his mind, Dae took aim on the areas with the highest percentage chance that the enemy would run to, if they were to run. This process happened in less then a second.

Having made his decision, Daedalus' body made a series of whirring noises, plates and panels slid their way off his back as a large cannon folded it's way out. Ducking his head, Daedalus fired two shots, destined to land on either side of the enemy shinobi, roughly twenty feet away from him. As the large cannonball devices were fired, so were Ryu's dragon's mudballs. The "Pulverizer" shells would be hitting the ground mere fractions of a second before the mud would be coming into contact.

Moving on the offensive Empty
PostSubject: Re: Moving on the offensive   Moving on the offensive EmptyFri Aug 06, 2010 11:30 pm

Shinichi made no movements whatsoever except his casual walk towards Ryusaki as usual. The Iwagakure's double teamed attacks both appeared at the same time. This might have destroyed a normal Shinobi. But Shinichi was no normal Shinobi. He was by far the level of a demi-god he sometimes like to fancy. These were just his mere mortals going against the rule of a god on its way. A rebellion that needed to be put down. The attacks were quick and efficient, but so was the Jounin's defense. The mist around him instantly turn into a sphere around him and hardened. The cannon attack contacted the top of the sphere where Shinichi was positioned, and also Ryu's mud attack exploded against sphere as well, casusually glancing off the iron sphere. But still Shin walked on towards Ryusaki. The sphere magnetized all the accessories that came from Daedalus's attack and they were irrelevant pieces now. The explosion devastated the area around them. Those who were not quick enough to dodge it lay dead. But still Shin stood, unhindered from his original target. Now noticing another individual that attacked him, he could now see that they were not Konoha ninja's. But Iwagakure Ninjas. The Hokage went to the Stone for help? How weak. It was of no consequence though. Shinichi prepared his attack anyways. Raising the sphere of iron into the air so that it hovered. Shinichi used his devastating magnetic abilities to scream forward the net of magnetism from the sphere. The sphere attracted the metal workings of Daedalus's puppet and began to pull it downwards, also the ear pieces from both Shinobi zipped from their ears, including the scope as well as any other metallic objects.

The Suna Jounin however was not done. For he had been preparing an attack beforehand. The man had turned some of the sand around him into mud. But the fact was that here in the Village Hidden in the Sand, there was Sand everywhere. The sand was now ready for his attack. Using his left hand he held it out towards Ryusaki, the sand outside of the mud circle rose around him in an instant. Shinichi closed his hands, while barking, "Desert Burial!" The force of the attack would doubtedly crush the man into nothing. The amount of pressure was enough to crush iron. With this attack another sphere started to form under the original sphere. The giant grey spheres looked menacing. But for what purpose? With Daedalu's now racing towards the top sphere things were looking grim.

-----------

Sabaku Kyuu • [Desert Coffin]
Ninjutsu, Suna, Supplementary, Mid Ranged, C Rank
Description: One fearsome jutsu and the first part of a combo. The user will cause sand to rise from the ground, attempting to grab the legs of the opponent, to restrain him. After that, more sand will rise up to fully encase the target, creating a sort of a "coffin" which holds the opponent. The sand has a lot of pressure put into whoever is inside, which restricts any movement of them, although someone with a higher strength could probably burst his way out.

Sabaku Sousou • [Desert Funeral]
Ninjutsu, Suna, Offensive, Ranged, C Rank
Description: The second part of a combo. After the user has successfully used Sabaku Kyuu on an opponent, the user can then use the full potential of the sand encasing the opponent, putting major pressure on him, most likely crushing him dead, or at least to a very bad state. This pressure can be avoid though by a highly defensive jutsu that may reduce the damage from the pressure.

Name: Iron Sand Gathering
Rank: B
Element: Iron Sand
Description: This technique gathers a great volume of Iron Sand and compresses it into a high-density shape. This greatly increases the hardness, creating a gigantic steel-like weapon in an instant. The weight and size of these shapes are so great, they can easily shatter bedrock and break through most defenses with one hit.

Because the weapon is made out of Iron Sand, the shape can be whatever the user wants, and can even be changed during the fight. This allows the user to create the best weapon for the fight, by taking into account the opponent's abilities and the surrounding environment. Since the Iron Sand generates a strong magnetic field, the opponent cannot use any metal weapons or tools.

Moving on the offensive Empty
PostSubject: Re: Moving on the offensive   Moving on the offensive EmptySat Aug 07, 2010 2:10 am

Ryu's attack had landed at the same time as one from above. It was welcome help since this would probably be the attack that helped things out. While the smoke and debris cleared Ryu expected to see a dead body. More or less the surrounding area had been hit hard as well. The magnitude of the combined attacks had leaked over and hit several other shinobi. Those who couldn't escape the blast radius and even a house or two behind the shinobi was hit. It wouldn't be surprising if some civilians who had not left the area had been killed as well. But when the smoke cleared all of Ryu's expectations were shattered, everything he was expecting to see was mostly correct. Except for the fact that his target was still there. In fact there was a black sphere right where he was standing previously. The safe assumption as always was to wonder what it was, and to assume that it had deflected all of the previous attacks. In some sense the attack hadn't even slowed down the shinobi. He still stayed fixated on target continuing to slowly close the gap between him and Ryusaki. The initial shock brought a precautionary step back to open the distance. But moving back as if he was scared wasn't going to help anything so Ryu stopped. He would have to simply use an attack that was slightly more affective than blind bombardment. At some point the ball of black material raised into the sky. Ryu's eyes averted too it when his radio in his ear was ripped out. It quickly began to speed towards the black ball. Even some of the metal basing that kept some of the surrounding buildings up that came loose in the last attack was being thrown towards the metal ball.

It was probably an attempt to drag both shinobi towards their death. Luckily for Ryu he kept his weapons in a separate place to be summoned as needed. There was no need to worry about something like that after his headband and radio was ripped away from him. Daedalus probably wouldn't be so lucky, he had several metal weapons with him and would most likely be drawn to the metal ball. Before Ryu could consider thinking of a way to react the sand around him raised up and began to come over him. On the flip the side, the sand that was attacking was moving in from outside the circle of mud he had created earlier. This gave Ryu just enough time to harden his body to something strong enough to resist the sand. It was a good thing that he had already started the process before hand. Ramping some up takes a much shorter time than actually starting something from scratch. Ryu was unable to reach the diamond like hardness he had originally hoped for, but he had gotten close enough. More importantly he had gotten the process high enough to survive. When the sand attempted to crush his skin it simply bounced off not so much as harming the shinobi. When the sand fell away from the attack, there was still the other looming threats. Still under the cover of the falling sand Ryu created a shadow clone. White the original's left hand became clawed and sharp the right began holding a large flame. All the while the shadow clone create a large mud wall in front of them. Not enough to block Ryusaki's view of his opponent but high enough to help him reach Daedalus. Not only that but in a effort to conserve chakra Ryu had made it just strong enough to withstand one to two attacks, the clone wouldn't be on it for long anyway. The original Ryusaki became layered in lightning while the shadow clone fired a fire ball at the ball of iron. Metal doesn't hold a magnetic charge while superheated, exactly what fire specialized in doing. Both figures left the smoke at the same time, Ryu leaving a booming sound of static behind him and the shadow clone climbing up the wall to reach Daedalus. Ryu made the ground he was covering seem much less by using god speed.

On the other end the shadow clone reached the top and summoned a chain, while the pull had been stopped Daedalus had been close enough for Ryu to throw the chain and hook it around his foot. The composition of Daedalus would change, the same way Ryu did his intentions to change the joints of the puppet from metal to avoid what just happened. The original Ryu closed the distance between him and shinobi to just outside of his punching radius. By now Ryu had made himself into diamond and with a quick swipe tried to break through any material that was guarding the shinobi, even the ones that he could not be seeing, but mostly in an attempt to get just a little bit closer. With one quick motion Ryu's hand jolted forward towards the suna ninja, unleashing a powerful fire attacking his direction. Regardless of whether it was blocked or not the blast would follow a straight line for a while and that's exaclty what it did breaking through the several structures behind the two combatants.

Moving on the offensive Empty
PostSubject: Re: Moving on the offensive   Moving on the offensive EmptySat Aug 07, 2010 3:07 am

Daedalus too, like his comrade, couldn't help but grin. It seemed they had added another notch to their belts, so to speak. As the dust cleared however, he too caught sight of the black orb that had helped defend the Suna nin. It wasn't until the orb rose into the air however that Daedalus began to fear for his life.

With smaller pieces of metal being instantly dragged in, Daedalus attempted to resist, but the metal mechanics in his puppet and himself were both victims to the magnetic field. As the dragon began to turn and pick up speed, Daedalus' scope caught hold of Ryu and a newly formed shadow clone. It was then that they their mind's hit the same wave length.

Dawning a new expression, one of determination, Daedalus turned his puppet towards the orb, and indirectly, Ryu. With the magnetic field only increasing his acceleration Daedalus found the dragon no longer necessary, and as the orb grew near, he leaped from it. It a monstrous crash, the large dragonian creature shattered into the orb. Daedalus however, having leaped far enough out to be seen by Ryu's clone, and the chain could not have come any sooner then it did. While Daedalus had had to resort to basic metals for the complex components of his inner workings, Ryusaki had now converted them to a sillica based compound, or rather a hard plastic. Still racing towards the ground however, Daedalus reached into his pocket as he passed the sphere of iron, tossing an exploding tag onto it as he went. His hopes were that the explosion would flash heat the metal, reducing it's ability to conduct electromagnetic waves. Physics were kind of the it thing when you created puppets. If the metal couldn't conduct electromagnetism, even for a split second, it would hopefully give them time for an attack.

Performing handseals, Daedalus hit the ground hard, the Ryusaki clone pulling down on the chain to quicken his descent even further. His four legs found soil right behind Ryusaki, just as his partner was about to let him flame technique fly, an orb of wind already created between his two hands. The wind then burst outwards in a horizontal tornado, running down the length of Ryusaki's right arm and catching the flame as it went. The two attacks magnified against each other, creating a torrential burst of flame heading towards the Suna nin.

Moving on the offensive Empty
PostSubject: Re: Moving on the offensive   Moving on the offensive EmptySun Aug 08, 2010 11:39 pm

All the while Ryusaki was making his miraculous escape and his aid with Dae. Shinichi was unleashing his trap. The man had slapped a exploding seal on top of one of the spheres but it would do no harm against compressed iron as it exploded. But Shin had been changing the polarity of the lower sphere so that it was the opposite of the top one. The two couldn't take the mass of the others polarity and began to vibrate. Shinichi then merged them together and the polarities were so opposite the gigantic sphere exploded. The explosion covered a vast area equaling half a mile. The two Iwa ninjas were directly in the middle of this area as well when they were beginning to settle down after Shinichi's initial attack. A humongous dome of compressed iron conformed all around them leaving no escape route. But Ryusaki decided to press the attack after saving Daedalus. Closing the distance between them he unleashed a fiery power of fire from his hands that would have disintegrated Shin, added by the attack sent from Daedalus. But for some reason, the man did not die when he was in the Sand Coffin. Meaning he had hard skin, because that should have killed him. Now there was proof to what he thought, Ryu had closed the distance between them on the street but he was now slower then what he was. His punch was irrelevant due to its speed. It was easy to block. Shinichi held a seal up with his right hand and activated a jutsu. And when Ryu's attack finally hit with a combined effort of Daedalu's attack. The attack was powerful. Blowing apart the left side of Shinichi's face. Or at least. It seemed that way. As Ryu's fist began to continue on sand wrapped around it in an instant. Turns out that the Shinichi that they thought they hit, was indeed a Sand clone. The sand wrapped around constricting his hand, but it could do him no harm since the man was made of diamond skin. But that also meant that he was to slow to do much about it. Shinichi appeared right below Ryu in a crouched position from the sand. Their ranks were indeed different when it came to speed. A blue chakra emitted from his hands as he swiped it past both his legs. This would effectively cut all the vessels in his body and moving would be out of the question. But the attack however did not end there. The dome was more malicious then first thought out. Spikes started to sprout everywhere, shooting off at dangerous speeds from the top and all around the dome. Including where Daedalus's was positioned. Spikes appeared from beneath sideways and upwards as it they raced forward to impale him and Ryu's clone as well. The same happened to Ryusaki except from the downward position seeing as Shin was attacking from there. A Iron spear swept past to impale him, and another sped past from the back. The front was with the Sand clone who was now covering the top half of his face with sand since it was now on him. If the man was now 'invincible' when it came to bodily harm. He wouldn't last long when it came to suffocation. And that was what the sand was going to do as it covered his mouth as well.

---------

Name: Iron Sand World Order
Rank: A
Element: Iron Sand
Description: This jutsu uses Iron Sand to create a gigantic sphere of branching spikes. The user creates two masses of Iron Sand with opposite polarities and then merges them together. This causes the magnetic forces to instantly increase and the repellent force created by the two opposing magnetic fields scatters the Iron Sand across a vast area.

The Iron Sand spreads in spikes that branch off irregularly, making it almost impossible to get a clear overview of what is happening. This also makes evading the spikes nearly impossible. Even if the opponent has managed to evade getting hit, the Iron Sand spikes will have filled the entire surroundings, cutting off any escape routes. With the opponent trapped, the user is free to attack in person.

Sand Body Substitution • [Suna Kawarimi no Jutsu]
Sub-Elemental Ninjutsu, Suna, Offensive, Ranged, C Rank
Description: A technique where the user creates a fake version of themselves with sand, while using the Kawarimi no Jutsu The opponent will then attack the mass of sand. Unlike the regular Kawarimi, the technique is only revealed in the end of the opponent's attack which means he will not realize of the switch so easily, keeping fighting for nothing.

Chakra Scalpel • [Chakra no Mesu]
Medical Ninjutsu, Supplementary, Offensive, B Rank
Description: Used for surgical procedures, however this can be used in battle as a deadly weapon. Able to cut muscles within the body just by grazing an opponent.

Ryu's attack had connected, for just a moment blowing away most of his victims face. Then it became obvious, the body became sand. Ryu reacted quickly, understanding his situation and that there was no way of knowing where his opponent was going to appear. Since his opponent was using sand based attacks it was logical to expect an assault from the ground. So to deter it Ryu used the free part of his body to jump into the air, all the while using his diamond claws to punch into the clone. Causing it to disperse, Ryu had unknowingly saved himself from having his legs cut off where they were. His opponent had tried to take advantage of trapping him to stop his mobility. But with that there was another problem arising. The iron sand that Ryusaki had thought he somewhat taken care of before had now become wild. Mostly unpredictable spanning all along the entire area and cutting off all of his escape routes. Ryusaki did a string of handseals as he landed on the ground from his lucky dodge. Suddenly a static boom rang through the battlefield. Ryusaki appeared right in front of shinichi having shapeshifted into blades that appeared from his arms. A clear poison dripped from the blades having been formed from Ryu's composition itself. If even a drop got on the shinobi it would burn through like acid and destroy the cells of the entire area.

As Daedalus stood in his lowered frame, the battlefield went to hell. Iron sand was now everywhere. While the spikes themselves were not enough to penetrate Daedalus' hard shell, they would soon be enough to immobilize him. Twisting his attention towards Ryu, Daedalus caught sight of the blue glow of chakra in the corner of his eye and while Ryu may have missed it, Dae now had a perfect line of sight to his opponent.

Forming two quick hand seals, Daedalus brought his right hand up in front of his face. From his palm, a small demonic head was procured, about the size of a baseball. Running out of time, Daedalus threw it at his target, the sand near Shinichi. The orb hit, falling short of landing on the opposing ninja by merely a few feet. As it hit though, a seal began to spread. Anything caught within this seal would be drained of chakra, even the iron sand that came into contact with it seemed to fall apart into nothing. If it reached Shinichi in time, he would have nothing left.
