Waiting in the Mist Empty
PostSubject: Waiting in the Mist   Waiting in the Mist EmptyMon Aug 30, 2010 12:43 pm

It was a damp day in the mist. The sun hung high over head, yet not a ray of light was able to break through the dense cloud cover. Under the clouds was abnormally clear, the usual fog clinging to the city had cleared, allowing for near perfect visibility. Despite the clear streets, it was unbelievably humid. Sweat rolled down Kisho's back, causing his shirt to stick to his back, making him rather uncomfortable. Walking through the village, Kisho pulled a letter out of his pocket and reread it to himself. "Your request for a mission has been accepted. Please expect to be contacted by your leading jounin in a timely manner." He was happy that he had a mission, but it had hardly been a "timely" manner. He received the letter almost 3 days ago, yet hadn't even seen sign of a jounin looking for him. Kisho folded the paper and slid it back into his pocket. Dropping his head forward, he looked at the ground and let out a sigh. At this rate he would never have the record needing to make chuunin at this rate. "Where the hell is this guy. 3 days I've been waiting. I can understand relaxed, but this is ridiculous." Unknowingly he had made his way to a small park, feeling tired from walking in the damp heat, Kisho feel back onto a bench to try and relax. As soon as he sat down, he felt that even the wood of the bench had been dampened with the moisture in the air. Reluctantly Kisho got to his feet and ambled to a nearby stone bench that was dry, but rough and less comfortable. Gently sliding into the seat, he rested his head back and looked up at the grey mass of cloud that hung over head, waiting for something to happen.

Waiting in the Mist Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waiting in the Mist   Waiting in the Mist EmptyMon Aug 30, 2010 11:54 pm

Koden who was just informed that he had to chaperon a gennin on a mission, was walking in the middle of Kirigakure. Looking for this gennin he stopped at one of the low class ramen shops. Although low class they made the best ramen in Koden's eyes. He rung the bell at the front on the bar table. And as quickly as the chime stopped, the owner of the shop appeared from the back of the shop.

"Your usual Koden?"

The lady owner of the shop asked Koden. This signified that Koden had been there many times, and usually got the same thing countess times.

"Two please"

Koden said with a deep nod. As he waited he scanned around kirigakure, is mature byakugan activated scanning for the gennin level chakra source that had to be around here somewhere. When he locked his gaze upon a certain chakra source, that was a little over the regular chakra source for a gennin. But not quite enough to be a chuunin. He finally decided that that being had to be the gennin he was looking for, as he turned around to see if the lady was done she already two medium sized cups of ramen. Pushing them forward for Koden to take, not speaking just smiling and nodding. Koden took the ramen with a simple smile. As he began to walk towards the area he began to notice the humid air of the mist village, usually this vilage was damp, and colder. But on this day it was a bit humid, Koden knew it would pass shortly, but it was still an odd occurrence. He closedin on the area of his assigned gennin. He was sitting on a stone like bench.

"Kisho? I am Koden, assigned to accompany you on this mission. You will listen to my every order no matter what." He did not want to sound to pushy nor formal, but he did want to get this point across the board.

"Now with that, if you have any quetions please ask. But I must ask you a question first, did you eat anything today?" Asking this question in all seriousness, hoping that he hasn't so Koden could give him some ramen and start him off correctly. But if he did already it mattered all the same, as long as everyone was healthy and ready for travel.

Waiting in the Mist Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waiting in the Mist   Waiting in the Mist EmptyTue Aug 31, 2010 12:29 am

Kisho looked up at the jounin. He could tell already that he wouldn't like spending time with him, but he tried to hide his discontent. He leaned forward and gently took the cup from Koden's hand. Hot soup, as if his blood wasn't already at the boiling point. He looked back up at Koden and finally spoke. "Don't talk to me like that. Working with someone is bad enough for me, let alone someone who thinks they can order me around like some mindless peon." He looked down at the noodles as he swirled around the broth. He lifted the cup to his lips, drinking the steaming hot broth, leaving the noodles in the bottom of the cup. Why do I need a partner for this mission. I'm only playing messenger boy after all. He sat there silently for a moment, trying to think of a reason, but all he could come up with is that he was a lowly genin.

Waiting in the Mist Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waiting in the Mist   Waiting in the Mist EmptyWed Sep 01, 2010 11:39 pm

An unamused gaze crossed Kodens face. He cared nothing about what the genin had said, for he would listen to Koden on this mission no matter what.

"How about this you will finish the broth of that soup, and we shall go on this mission. You will listen to my every command, i care nothing of how you feel for we can go back and forth with this all day, and not complete the mission at all. Now if you want to groan and mumble about simple orders than so be it, or you can suffer in silence. Either way you will follow my every command, or this mission will not be complete."

Koden said, unrelentless with his words, for he was tired him self. Hr just got up to get a mission notice, and he had to leave that day. Tired, and agitated he wanted to get this mission over with. But even with the crucial words, he wanted no harm for this genin but his better living. Hoping he would prosper along with this mission instead of argue and debate he began eating the ramen. Awaiting for any sort of response as a relentless gaze continued.

Waiting in the Mist Empty

Kisho finished his broth. Throwing the cup over his shoulder, he stood up with his back to Koden. Looking over his shoulder, he said "I know what I to do for this mission. You can stay here for all I care. I don't need to be butting heads with someone like you for the entire trip." Kisho slipped his hands into his pockets as he walked away towards the city's gates.

Waiting in the Mist Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waiting in the Mist   Waiting in the Mist EmptyWed Sep 08, 2010 1:13 pm

A feisty one this kid. Koden thought as the gennin threw his cup on the floor. Koden walking by picking it up and throwing it into the trashcan near by. The gennin began walking away for the most part suttle. Hands in his pockets, Koden smirked. This kid didnt want to hear the crap he just anted to get stuff done. Koden respected that, but he would hope that the boy would soon learn how to respect the ones in charge. He wasn't going to let the boy get away, for he had to accompany him on this mission. Koden took a deep sigh walking forward after throwing the cup in the trash can. He caught up with the boy as he continued to eat his ramen with simple wooden chopsticks. Walking by the boy who was at a slump, so to speak. If this boy didn't like it, he would just have to suffer in silence. For Koden did not care what he thought. He just wanted to get this thing done.
