Surudoi is a sharp weapon, and is also a quick defense. Kanako will use the umbrella for both. When attacking, she will switch it's state with a simple pull on the rod to make the outside of the umbrella grow blades. The umbrella grows swifter in this state as Kanako will use the sides to cut the foe. Kanako can switch the umbrella back to defense mode with a simple pull of the rod. The umbrella will grow larger, and as hard as steel. It can defend against most attacks, to protect the user from getting hit. The only drawback is that this state grows about fifty pounds heavier, so it can't be carried as easily. The umbrella can be pushed back with each attack used on it.
Description of item Appearance:
Surudoi is a tan, japanese umbrella that has a fan-like texture, but is very hard, and warm to touch.
Attack State
In this state, Surudoi grows sharper, the skinny, but very sharp blades are an unknown metal. The material is known to be unbreakable, but if defending in this state, jutsu may go right through it.
Defense State
In this state, Surudoi grows larger, and hard as metal, but not dentable. The umbrella is big enough to sit behind.
