An odd meeting (private invite only)

Yami listened to the boy's questions and how his companion corrected him, saying that he had asked three questions instead of two. ''I only punch perverted men.'' she said, looking annoyed. Yami heard the second question and didn't know what to answer. She couldn't tell this boy that she was a missing nin, neither could she tell him the purpose of her visit. Well, there actually wasn't a reason. She was just wandering around the world. ''I actually dont have a reason for visiting Suna. I just happened to be around, so I decided to enter this village. You see, I have never been to Suna before.'' she said, her red eyes looking deep into the boy's black ones.

After she had answered his questions, avoiding the passport question, the boy moved on to introducing himself and the bird. His name was Kamoku and his bird's name was Azami. Considering Kamoku meant 'shy', it was rather funny. Kamoku, after all, seemed to be a funny and open person. ''Nice to meet you, Kamoku. My name is Yami.'' the girl said, her eyes taking in the boy's and bird's features. Yami liked the combination of Kamoku's white hair and black eyes. He was quite handsome, but probably younger than her.

Kamoku loved this girls fashion. Her red eyes completely matched her outfit. the blue dress with the black boots clashed with the white cloak she was wearing, giving her both a cinfident and mysterious look. Kam flitted his black eyes up and down, to and fro; Azami ignoring the conversation and scanned the forest. She never liked trees, she was a desert bird. even though the suna had very little, she always seemed to continously be here. Kam noticed her unease and decided to move things a bit quicker.

" Well then your going to have a field day, every man has a pervert within them. Comes with the testosterone." He grinned again. Azami scoffed and muttered. " For you to be this short, I doubt you have any testosterone at all." Her uncomfortablilty with the surroundings made her snappy. Kam, however was completely embarrassed. " Aza! that's uncalled for you giant chicken."

He looked up from their arguement and frowned. No reason coming here? She passed a giant desert, through the tight patrol of the shinobi, through the areal partrol, past the village and into the only known forest of suna. Kam had an impending doubt about her story. He then scanned for a badge. None.

He sighed. " With your uncommon eyes, your weird attire, your out-of-place boots along with no badge...Missing ninja im guessing?, Yummy?" He grinned, not knowing his mistake. Azami threw a blow at his white head with her tan beak. " It's Yami you fool!! Stop thinking with your gut!" Azami began hopping from foot to foot. She wanted to go back to the warm embrace of the sky.

Kam, completely put off by Azami began rubbing his head. He looked up yet another time from their arguement. " I'm sorry, but if you dont have a passport and your a missing ninja, I'd rather you be escorted out of the vicinity of Suna." Kam didn't mention that if she refused he would have to fight. Nor did he mention that if he wasn't back in the air within 5 minutes they would send a squad to find him.

Yami sighed as Kamoku informed her that every man had a perverted side. ''Well, looks like I'm never going to date someone.'' She watched them as the bird made a remark about the boy's height and testosterone amount. 'Sheesh, are they always like that?' she thought. Yami knew that her explanation wouldn't be satisfying enough. After all, for this boy to be guarding the skies of Suna, he had to be at least Chuunin ranked. Under her cloak she made some handseals. Some meters away a clone appeared. Then she made some more handseals but nothing happened. Nothing the boy could see, anyway.

As expected the boy guessed that she was a missing nin. She knew what to say, but in case that wouldn't work, Yami had already a plan. '' I am from Yukigakure. It's my week off, so I decided to wander around a bit. You see, I like wanderig around the world.'' she said, the lies slipping through her lips easily.

Kamoku knew this story, he'd been through this several times with the bird nation. " First, I doubt you would be spending your time in a desert if you're used to snow. Second, In order to have a day off and wander around somewhere you would need a passport, a visa, a heads up from your kage along with the notification and your picture given to every guardsmen. there were no females of any Shinobi calliber today that would pass through Suna today." he said all of this with a slight drawl. He had said it several times in the morning, he didn't want to say it anymore. Azami realized this and coninued the talk. " So in order of that horrid news you will have to either ride along with us to the outskirts or force us to call reinforcements."

'Hm. Looks like this one's smart' she thought, looking bored at Kamoku. ''All right you got me, but as you can see, I did no harm to any of the villagers or you. I have no intentions of harming you. Do as you wish and escort me out of the village. After all, it is a Ninja's duty to protect their village from Ninja such as myself. Even for a shorty, such as yourself.'' she said, teasing him. She loved teasing people and this Shinobi was a nice teasing-target. The whole time she was saying those words, Yami enjoyed it. She didn't know why, but for some reason it was really fun talking to this Ninja.

Kam wrinkled his nose and puckered up his lips like a child. His squinted eyes making it even more funny. " Now that's just mean. You were short when you were a kid too." Azami chuckled. " So you do admit it. Come on, Yami get on my back and we'll bring you to the village limits."Kam was pulled from his pouting and to the task at hand. " yea, what chicken head said." he climbed on top of her back and beckoned to Yami. (so short)

Yami's bored eyes looked at Kamoku as he was offended by the 'shorty' comment. She thought it was funny but of course that emotionless mask she was wearing wouldn't show it. She was rather surprised that Azami and Kamoku didn't attack her. They should at least had attacked her when they learned her name and that she was a missing nin. After all, she had killed a Kage. Yami expected her name to be at least in a 'Wanted' list, when not in an ANBU bingo book. 'Oh well.' she thought, as she jumped on Azami's back, ignoring Kamoku's helping hand.

Azami, whom was 3 feet of legs and 1 foot of actual body almost buckled at the sudden weight. She was used to kam's weight, but he was less than 70 pounds. Azami glared at kam, whom was slowly getting on with a straight face, trying not to laugh. Azami couldn't get why they were flying her out of the village limits without collecting the bounty. Kam whispered to Aza. " We wouldn't be able to fight her and plus, we have no reason to fight her personally." Azami hissed. " Well I do, she's riding me like a horse." Kam turned around and noticed. Her legs were on both sides hanging down.

"Your not riding Azami right, tuck your legs under into the seiza position and balance with your knees. Aza has very long legs and uses them to balance herself in the air along with fighting. If you tangle them up, you could seriously injure her." Kam showed by example. " Dont hold onto the feathers, just hold onto her open-palmed and crouch low for better areodynamics." Kam grinned. IT wasn't often that he showed people how to ride Azami.

Kam crouches and holds onto Azami's back lightly. " You ready?"

Yami was sitting on Azami, unsure from where to hold in order to not fall down. So she crammed her fingers into Azami's feathers. She was afraid to fly, since she was used to fly on her own. She had never flown on a bird. Of course her face was lined by boredom. The girl heard Kamoku whispering to Azami as the latter hissed. Yami didn't really care and looked up at the sky. The sun was shining and not one single cloud could be seen.

Kamoku turned around and looked at Yami. He explained her that the way she was sitting on Azami could injure her, so she followed his instructions and managed to sit correctly on the bird. In this position, however, Yami was more afraid of flying. The fact that Kamoku was sitting a bit away from her, didn't help. After all, in case she would fall down there wouldn't be anything she could hold on to and she wasn't sure if she could transform in mid-air.

''You ready?'' Kamoku asked. ''Mhm'' was all Yami could say, as she was pressing her lips together out of angst and apprehension.

Kam let loose a full-blown grin and yelled. " Lets meet your mother sky, Azami!" Azami, whom was happy to finally get out of the forest and into the air. She started to run at full speed, the twigs, grasses and snakes not a problem for her. What ever animal was in her way, she flattened it with one swift kick to the head. Soon she opened her 8 foot wings (each) and lifted into the sky, kam's black eyes shone with excitement and crouched even further as they went higher and higher.

Kams legs automatically squeezed on Aza's body lightly so he wouldn't fall off. He remembered those days that he had starved himself of food, stunting his growth and his metabolism as ferocious as a 200 pound husky. Even if it was damaging to his health, he was glad that he did so. Now he could fly with Aza without her being burdened. There was a cold updraft that was soon coming their way now. " Aza, higher or fly her!"

That was an old saying. It meant to either get out of the way or do the exercises necessary to brave through it. Since Azami was burdened with two people instead of one, she could go no higher than 300 meters in the air. Twice the height of the tallest building in Suna.

Azami yelled back. " To the left!" Kam then instructed Yami to turn to the left while she was burying her face in Aza's feathers. Azami tucked her wings in and barrel-rolled mid air to the lower left side. Where they were barraged with a freezing wind. Though it felt very pleasant in the hot sun. After that, kam sat back up and turned to the right to get Azami stabilized. Kam turned back to yami and grinned. " Isn't this the best? Fresh air, beautiful wind and blazing sun." Azami replied to the comment. " The simplest things are most amazing."

Kam pointed down. They were so high that the great wall of suna looked like a lunchbox. Instead of going through the Suna, they were slowly going around. In case anyone tried to jump off.

As Kamoku told Azami to 'meet her mother sky' the bird started running and then spanned it's wings. Then, she flew high into the sky, the air blowing into their faces. Yami had closed her eyes out of fear. She buried her head into Azami's feathers and tried hard in order not to scream. This was pretty funny, considering that she was used to flying.

As they reached a steady height, Yami still buried her face in Azami, refusing to open up her eyes. She was pressing her lips hard together, and had started to feel dizzy. Yami heard Azami say something about 'to the left' and was shocked. She knew they would turn now and as awaited Kamoku gave her intsructions on how to turn to the left. The girl followed, and as suddenly cold air hit them, she felt like she wanted to vomit. After Azami was flying straight once again, Kamoku turned around and grinned. " Isn't this the best? Fresh air, beautiful wind and blazing sun." he said. Yami barely opened her eyes and saw the boy's grinning face. Kamoku pointed down and, unfortunately, Yami's eyes followed his hand. They were flying high. Incredibly high. The girl saw the distance between the earth and herself and instantaneously felt dizzy and everything went black.

She wasn't used to fly with others. Yami would always rely on herself to fly. She was in control when she was in the air. She knew what she was doing. Yami knew what was happening. But now, she wasn't the one controlling, Azami was. That was why Yami was so scared and was feeling dizzy. She didn't trust the bird.

As everything went black, her grip loosened and she was slowly sliding to the side, threatening to fall off Azami.

Kam's smile faded as he saw the girl swivel off Azami and into the wind itself. Yami was blown away like a wet leaf in a windstorm. Azami reacted fast with kam's grip. In sincronization they both pulled back and dived straight towards her, Azami opening up her large claws to catch the falling Yami.

Azami then grabbed Yami's shoulders lightly.Trying not to pierce her skin or clothing. Probably failing with the latter. Kams heart had gone from soaring to jumping out of his mouth within these few seconds. He turned to Aza and said: " Fly smooth for a few seconds." Aza nodded as she flew higher into the heated wind tunnels that are naturally forming.

Kam pulled off his sandals with the socks and strapped them to his belt alongside his gloves. He leaned back while his foot claws grabbed onto azami's side. He was suspended upside down in the air hundreds of feet above ground holding onto nothing but a giant bird. Kam's head was now level with Yami's. He pulled out his canteen and dribbled some water on her face. " Wake up, sorry about that spoof. I didn't know you were that afraid of heights."

Yami, being held by Azami's claws, felt water on her face and a familiar voice telling her to wake up. Her eyes slowly opened, staring into two black worried eyes. 'What did just happen? Why is he worried?' Yami looked down only to see that she was hanging 300 meters above the ground, only Azami's claws preventing her from falling. Suddenly, it was like something hit her, the memories came back. 'I passed out? On a bird? And then fell down?'. Yami's head was hanging down and she could see the Suna entrance. Soon she would exit that village. ''Pathetic'' she mumbled, disappointed from herself. She was used to flying but she wasn't used to the sun and heat. Perhaps that was why she fainted.

''I am not afraid of heights. I just got dizzy from the sun and heat.'' she said, responding to Kamoku.

Kam laughed. " Yeah, that's what mostly gets the intruders. It's okay, several people have fallen off; though mostly to escape." Kam pulled himself back up, quick to put his sandals back on as they took a hard right. Going around the main gate and out of the eyesight of the guards. Warm sandy wind blew up from the natural cliffs, lifting them higher across the flattened dry rock. They passed the cliff face and to a small oasis.

Aazami lifted her legs up high so kam could help her back onto Azami's shoulders before they landed. She bent her wings and got ready to land in the green brush. Her strong legs made the landing smooth and no jarring what so ever. Kam then hopped off and hopped for a few seconds to get the feeling back in his legs. " Okay, there you go. Just make sure you dont come back too soon." Kam grinned as he went to the water hole, preparing for the next lift off. All he had to do now was to clean Azami off.

Azami turned to Yami. Yami could see her reflection within Azami's large dark eyes. " Kam may be an ignorant dullard when it comes to chakra, but animals can sense a clone a mile away. Please disperse of it, or we might have to send half the village after it." Her golden beak opened up to swallow a jagged rock. Her stomach wasn't feeling well after eating that snake.

As they flew towards a oasis, Azami lifted her legs and Kamoku helped Yami to climb on her back. Once again she was holding on Azami's feathers tightly, trying to sit properly on her back. This time she didn't dare to look down. They came closer to the ground and landed, luckily, smoothly on the ground. Kamoku jumped off and hopped on the ground, probably to get back feeling to his legs. Yami jumped off too, standing stady on the ground." Okay, there you go. Just make sure you dont come back too soon." he said, grinning. ''Oh, don't you worry. Next I'll come will be the last time for you.'' she said, her grin even wider than Kamoku's. Her voice sounded threatening but sweet at the same time.

After a few awkward seconds passed she opened again her mouth. ''Just kidding.'' she said, faking a smile. Of course she wouldn't come back to that hell of a village. First of all, she had met a perv who was probably fucking right now this young girl that had appeared earlier, second, she had met a ninja from her village which could have ended badly if he had recognized her and last but not least, she had met a teenager who was way too energetic and short and a giant bird that was talking and was the boy's 'logic'.

Kamoku walked off to the water source, as Azami turned to Yami. The bird's big black eyes were quite impressing and Yami kept staring at them. She could see herself. " Kam may be an ignorant dullard when it comes to chakra, but animals can sense a clone a mile away. Please disperse of it, or we might have to send half the village after it." Azami said, and then swallowed a rock. ''It would be quite funny to have half the village chasing after my clone, and then when -and if- they finnaly caught it, it would disappear. Puff. Just like that.'' the young girl said, smirking. Just imagining the whole scene made her wanting to laugh. Yami nodded, forming a heand seal. Somewhere in the woods a 'puff' could be heard and some smoke would rise up. Of course they were too far away, so they couldn't possibly see or hear it.

Yami looked at Kamoku. He was doing something at the oasis. She leaned in to Azami, opening her mouth. ''Take care of that boy. He may be childish, but he has something that not everyone has.'' she said looking at him. She straightened her back and looked towards the gates of Suna. ''He kind of lifted my mood.'' Yami said quietly, more to herself than to Azami. She turned towards the entrance, running out of Suna.

Kam came back with large leaf-fuls of water and mud along with a wire brush. " Look, Aza! There's lime deposits here! Your legs wont crack any-" His 2 inch sandals caught on a rock and sent him flying to the ground, landing in both the mud and limey water. Soaking him to the bone. Aza laughed quietly and mumbled " I know what you mean." Aza looked at yami walking away. " He gives people hope."

Azami almost swore that her and Yami were thinking the same thing. As Yami was walking away, she was walking straighter and with bounce in her step. Yes, Yami would be greater too; Not just in her Shinobi skills, but also in life.
